How to Redesign and Refine Your Operating Process
October 5, 2010

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. ET

Is your department getting the most out of the resources you have to work with? Are you facing reactive client and account management systems, poor funding structures, and ineffective operational processes? You're not alone. Most internal creative departments are in the same boat. Leveraging her years of industry experience, Emily will discuss a variety of best practices that will teach in-house creatives how to optimize processes and work flow, improve quality, reduce revision and cycle time, and ultimately streamline costs so you can save your company a load of cash.

Emily, co-partner of Cohen Miller Consulting (CMC), has consulted with design firms and in-house corporate creative departments for over twenty years. Together with her partner, Emily consults with corporate and institutional in-house creative and marketing teams to improve operational effectiveness by combining best-practice insights with solid benchmark data. CMC offers a variety of highly effective and actionable methodologies and tailors their approach and recommendations to individual departmental and corporate cultures, work-product types, and industry-specific requirements. Emily served on the board of advisors of InSource, on the AIGA In-House task force and as Secretary for the AIGA/NY Board of Directors. She has taught classes and conducted seminars for many leading design schools and organizations and is a frequently-requested speaker on business-related issues for the creative industry.
