The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association and is made up of 16 elected R.G.D. Members, 1 appointed Provisional RGD Member, 1 appointed Student Member and 1 appointed non-member who is the Association's lawyer.
In September, the Board of Directors appoints five R.G.D. members to a Nomination committee as proposed by the Nominating Committee Chair who is a member of the current Board.
Then, in November or early December, a Call for Nominations is distributed to all R.G.D. Members in good standing who are invited to nominate or run for a Board of Directors office or position. The deadline for nominations is sometime in early February.
A list of nominees is distributed to members in March and R.G.D. members are invited to vote in person or by proxy for the new Board of Directors at the Association's Annual General Meeting, which takes place at the end of April.
