On June 16-17, at the W Hotel in San Francisco, The Design Management Institute (DMI) hosts its 22nd annual design conference. Titled “Re-Thinking…The Future of Design”, this conference will follow a conversational format and cover important changes taking place in the design world. What kinds of contribution do organizations expect from designers? What are the implications for design professionals? This is a great opportunity to get in on the dialogues going on in the industry.

The conference co-chairs are Roger Martin, Dean, Rotman School of Management (who is also speaking at DesignThinkers 2010) and Darrel Rhea, CEO, Cheskin Added Value. Discussion will center around a wide variety of topics, including: Sustainability and Design, Industry - Design and Transformation, and Changes - In Business and Design Education. The impressive list of presenters include Sean Carney, Valerie Casey and David Butler.
