 RGD seeks more Eastern Ontario projects to include
February 26, 2010
Design at Work to show at 350 Albert St Lobby, Ottawa from May 10 to 22, 2010.
RGD Ontario invites all R.G.D. and Provisional RGDs* in Eastern Ontario to submit projects completed in 2007, 2008 or 2009 to add to the existing Design at Work exhibit.
Members of a special selection committee will select up to 12 additional projects to be included in the Ottawa presentation from the exhibit. Projects will be selected based on the criteria used for Design at Work generally:
- The project met the client’s goals and expectations and had an impact on the client’s performance.
- The project demonstrates originality and creativity through advanced, unusual or clever solutions, uniqueness of materials, originality of components and/or creative use of resources.
- The project demonstrates ‘good design’, through the elegance and sophistication of core design concepts, the layout and use of space, typography, clever synergies of visual elements, artistic integration, etc.
Work that can be submitting include books, corporate communication, print promotion, annual reports & CSRs, websites, exhibits & tradeshows, magazines & newsletters, direct mail campaigns, broadcast design, brand & identity systems, packaging & POP, signage & wayfinding, logos, email & social marketing campaigns. (Self-promotional work is not eligible for consideration. A client, whether internal or external, must have been involved.)
Interested parties are asked to submit the following information to christina@rgdontario.com by Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
CREDITS:
- Project Name
- Design Firm/Department
- Date of Completion
- Category/Media (i.e. web, print, etc.)
- R.G.D./Prov. R.G.D. and their role(s) on the project
- Client Name
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
- Project Description (with emphasis on how it meets the judging criteria) (maximum 400 words)
- 2-3 high resolution images (300 dpi)
